Samsung Galaxy S6 Features

Korean based mobile making company SAMSUNG has announced its new smart phones Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge at MWC 'Galaxy Unpacked 2015' event in Barcelona on Sunday. With the poor sales of Samsung Galaxy S5 which was released in the last year, the company is trying to pull up its sales with its brand new smart phones. In this article I'm listing Features and specifications of Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

The two smart phones have almost same features except that The Galaxy S6 will have rounded top and bottom edges and flat rectangular sides where as Galaxy S6 Edge will have curved screen at left and right edges and rounded top and bottom edges. They also differ in dimension and battery life. At the right side of Galaxy S6, Power button and a nano-SIM card slot is present. Similarly at the right side of Galaxy S6 Edge, Power button will provided and SIM slot is present at the top side of the device. Both devices will have micro-USB charging port and headset jack at the bottom side and Volume buttons on the left.

DISPLAY :

Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will have 5 or 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display to make everything clear. Finger print scanner feature is available. Some of the rumors about the devices states that Samsung is rebuilding its flagship smartphone from scratch with the code name 'Project Zero' and is considered as the biggest upgrade in company's history.

The new Galaxy devices will run with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and it will be the first 64-bit Samsung flagship, coming outfitted with a homemade octa-core chip. The devices will have 3 GB of RAM and 2.1 GHz quad core processor for faster experience. 

CAMERA :

Coming to Camera Options, the two device will have a 16 Mega Pixel rear camera, which allows you to capture High Resolution images. Besides rear camera a heart rate sensor is present which is used to monitor heart beat. The new smart phones will also come with a 5 Mega Pixel front camera to have a bigger Selfie experience.

BATTERY :

Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge are powered by 2600mAh battery with fast charging features. With 10 miutes of charing the devices can work up to 4 hours and they take almost 80-85 minutes for full charge. SAMASUNG states that "from 0 to 100 percent of charging Galaxy S6 will take 50 percent less time than Iphone6 ".The devices will have non removable battery and are lack of micro SD card slot. However internal memory is boosted up and available in variants of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB with estimated prices of EUR 749 (INR 52,800), EUR 849 (INR 59,800), and EUR 949 (INR 66,900) respectively. With the increase in the use of cloud storages SAMSUNG is giving 115GB free Microsoft OneDrive storage for 2 years.

Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will available in colors of Black Sapphire, White Pearl, Blue Topaz, Gold Platinum. As Samsung is getting tough competition from Apple, Success of these devices will important for the company. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will roll out to the markets form April 10.
